Use this database to find:

1. More books by a favorite author .
2. Books similar to a favorite book.
3. The next book in a series.
4. Book discussion guides.
5. Books containing a specific plot or setting.

To get there:

1. Go to DPL's website (www.carrollnet.org/dpl).
2. Click the Other Online Databases & Library Resources link.
3. Click Novelist. If you are outside the library, you will be asked to enter your library card number.
4. Click Novelist again.

To do a quick search:

1. Use the Quick Search box in the upper left corner to find books by a favorite author.
2. Click Go.
3. You also can quick search by Title, Keyword, or Series by changing the search term in the drop-down box.

1. Click the Search Our Databases tab at the top of the page.
2. Click Find a Favorite Author.
3. Type the author's name in the Find box, and click Search.
4. Click the title of one of your favorites.
5. Click the Find Similar Books button under the picture of the book cover.
6. On the next screen, choose from a variety of subjects, set other restrictions, and click Search.

To find a book based on a specific plot:

1. Click the Search Our Databases tab at the top of the page.
2. Click Describe a Plot.
3. Type phrases in the Find box to describe the plot.
4. Click Search.
