I would like to tell you about the Minelab Excalibur 1000. It may of cost a little bit more than a regular American detector, but it was worth
every penny! It features two operating modes. All metal and Discriminate. In Discriminate mode. The Excalibur will ignore most ferrous
objects jand still detect the valuable non-ferrous objects such as gold and silver. My detector came with a 10" coil. What I found out to
be simple to use, is the way Minelab made it so easy to use. And by the way this is an underwater metal detector. They say it is good
up to 200 feet uder the water. I don't think that I will ever dive with it. I bought it for the beach. I love to beach comb. I went last week end
for spring break. Here in Oregon, Canyon beach is the best place to go. The beach was great to search. I did find some coins and one old
plated gold ring. No big finds yet, but I know one day that I will.
