Good tone. Half Eagle?
Nope a pulltab, keep looking.
They say this is fun.

DETECTING THOUGHTS
Written: 3/18/98

Oh how I wish there was a way,
I could get out and detect today.

It seems there are always things going on with me,
Like having to work and having no time free.

Sometimes I’m stuck in my cubicle workspace,
When I’d rather be swinging at some old place.

Then there’s the weather, oh what can we do?
With the frozen tundra, rain, snow and windy like blues.

I need to hear some beeps real soon,
I’ll even hunt under the light of the moon.

Be it on land, in water or along the sandy seashore,
Finding treasure is the norm and I always want more,
Lets seize the opportunities and start knocking on doors.

Learning about and reliving our colorful past,
Detecting is a hobby that will surely endure and last.

Things made of silver and gold,
Are abound so I’m told,
Finding old coins, jewelry and relics help make me fit the mold,
As it shapes and forms me to be happy and bold.

A hobby to inspire me to be the best I can be,
To scan the countryside of the land belonging to the brave and the free.

I know there’s more goodies to go into my pouch,
So lets get off our duffs and not be a slouch.

Detecting is a hobby that’s made right for me,
Just look into my treasure pouch and tell me all you see.

Be my buddy, friend and partner too,
As all fellow TH’ing people are really super and cool.

We can all learn a lot from one another,
As this hobby/sport is surely the supreme mother.

So there you have it folks, my little thoughtful poem,
Now I need to get out some to roam.

As treasure awaits us one and all,
So be proud and stand mighty and tall.

There once was a man with a detector
he worked the ground like an inspector.

He went on a hunt what a beautiful
stunt and out of the ground came lots of silver.

With his headphones on he would listen
with every dig it would glisten.

One problem he had and he wasn't too
glad when he found that he had no permission.

Then they came to him one day
and they took his detector away.

They said had you just asked us first
you could keep whats in your purse
and you'd be hunting without this delay.

So heed these words that you read
good hunting to all and Gods speed.
